Even though Thanksgiving Day has past, Rodney Porter and Keith Nettleton, Owners of Dealer Capital Group, LLC, provided Dentists for the Disabled and Elderly in Need of Treatment, aka D-DENT, with a lot to be thankful for!

Founded in 1986, D-DENT’s mission is to restore the oral health of low-income, uninsured, elderly, and developmentally disabled Oklahomans with no other means to pay for dental care by providing free comprehensive dental care through a network of volunteer dentists.

“It was an incredible surprise, an answer to prayers, to have received a phone call from Rodney Porter saying that his company wanted to donate $6,000 to our organization!” said Shirley Harris, Executive Director of D-DENT. She continued by saying that in June 2010 D-DENT’s contract with the Oklahoma State Department of Health was terminated due to recent state revenue failure, forcing D-DENT to make a $136,764 budget cut.

“This Holiday Season has proven to be full of blessings,” continued Harris, “after the budget cuts, the Delta Dental Oral Health Foundation presented D-DENT with a challenge grant, ever since then, we have been fortunate to have met new people who not only understand the importance of Oral Health, but also the urgency of poor Oral Health.”

When asked, why D-DENT, Dealer Capital Group, LLC owners simply said, “We’ve seen what you do,” and smiled.
